The Tehachapi Loop is a .73 mile spiraling train track that provides re-distribution of weight for the Union Pacific Railroad’s Mojave Subdivision line allowing the trains to pass through the Tehachapi Pass and Tehachapi Mountains in Kern County between Bakersfield and the the Mojave Desert, part of the south central area of California.
Designed by William Hood and completed in 1876. If the train is more thae 4000 feet the train will actually drive overits self as if the a snaking eating it’s tail.
